Terms and Conditions for Worcester Park Carpet Cleaners

Carpet cleaning technician preparing equipment before a service appointmentThese Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Worcester Park Carpet Cleaners provides domestic and commercial cleaning services. By making a booking, confirming an appointment, or allowing our team to commence work, the customer agrees to these terms in full. They are designed to create clarity about the booking process, payment obligations, cancellations, liability, waste handling, and the governing law that applies to all services provided under the name Worcester Park Carpet Cleaners.

These terms apply to all carpet, upholstery, rug, and related cleaning services supplied by Worcester Park Carpet Cleaners, whether the work is arranged for a single visit or as part of an ongoing service arrangement. Any variation to these terms must be agreed in writing by both parties before the service begins. If there is any inconsistency between a written quotation and these terms, the written quotation will take precedence only to the extent of the inconsistency.

Throughout this document, references to “we”, “us”, and “our” mean Worcester Park Carpet Cleaners, and references to “you” or “the customer” mean the person or organisation requesting the service. These terms are intended to be fair, practical, and consistent with applicable UK consumer and business law. They should be read carefully before a booking is confirmed.

Professional carpet cleaning booking and quotation process illustration1. Booking process
Bookings may be made by phone, email, online form, messaging platform, or any other method we choose to offer. A booking is not confirmed until we have accepted the request and, where required, received a deposit or other confirmation from the customer. We may ask for information such as the property address, access arrangements, number and type of items to be cleaned, material composition, stain details, parking constraints, and any particular concerns that may affect the service.

When you request a quotation from Worcester Park Carpet Cleaners, any estimate provided before inspection is based on the information supplied by you. If the actual condition of the items, the size of the area, or the cleaning requirements differ materially from the details originally given, we may revise the price, adjust the scope of the service, or decline to proceed if the work cannot reasonably be carried out as quoted. We will always aim to explain any proposed change clearly before work starts.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the booking details are accurate and complete. This includes notifying us of fragile materials, pre-existing damage, water-sensitive flooring, hidden hazards, restrictions on access, or any contamination that may require specialist handling. If incorrect or incomplete information causes delay, extra time on site, additional labour, or extra materials, we reserve the right to charge a reasonable additional amount. Booking confirmation may be communicated in writing or by another durable medium.

Payment and invoice process for carpet cleaning services2. Prices, estimates, and payments
All prices are stated in pounds sterling unless otherwise agreed. Prices may be quoted as fixed fees, hourly charges, area-based charges, or a combination of these depending on the service requested. Any quotation remains valid only for the period stated in that quotation, or if no period is stated, for a reasonable time. We reserve the right to correct obvious clerical or pricing errors before accepting a booking.

Payment is due in accordance with the terms set out in the quotation, booking confirmation, or invoice. Unless we agree otherwise, payment must be made on completion of the service, immediately after the work has been carried out, or in advance where a deposit is required. We may accept bank transfer, card payment, cash, or other methods we make available from time to time. Worcester Park Carpet Cleaners is not obliged to begin work if payment conditions have not been met.

If a deposit is requested, it may be used to secure the appointment and cover administration time, lost availability, or preparation costs. Deposits may be non-refundable where cancellation occurs outside the permitted cancellation terms or where the customer is at fault. Unless expressly stated, all invoices must be settled in full without deduction, set-off, or counterclaim. Any disputed element of an invoice must be raised promptly, while the undisputed balance remains payable.

Where late payment occurs, we may suspend further services, withhold any certificates or completion notes not yet issued, and recover reasonable costs associated with collection. Interest on overdue sums may be charged in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts legislation where applicable, or at a reasonable rate in consumer matters where permitted by law. Any fees incurred in recovering overdue sums may be added to the customer account where lawful.

3. Cancellations and rescheduling
You may cancel or reschedule an appointment by giving us reasonable notice. For consumer bookings, any statutory cancellation rights that apply under UK law remain unaffected by these terms. Where a booking is cancelled at short notice, particularly after we have allocated staff, reserved equipment, or turned away other work, we may charge a cancellation fee that reflects our reasonably incurred losses. The amount may depend on how close the cancellation is to the appointment time.

If we arrive at the property and are unable to access the premises, or if the service cannot proceed due to circumstances within your control, we may treat that as a late cancellation or aborted visit. Examples include no one being available to provide access, unsafe conditions, missing electricity or water where needed, or the customer failing to prepare the space in a reasonable way. In such cases, Worcester Park Carpet Cleaners may charge the full or partial booked amount, depending on the circumstances.

Customer cancellation and rescheduling terms for a cleaning appointmentWe reserve the right to reschedule or cancel a booking where necessary because of staff illness, severe weather, equipment failure, safety concerns, or events beyond our reasonable control. If we do so, we will use reasonable efforts to offer a new appointment time. We will not be responsible for indirect losses arising from a rescheduled or cancelled visit, provided we have acted reasonably and in good faith.

4. Customer responsibilities
You must ensure that the area to be cleaned is reasonably prepared before our arrival. This may include moving small personal items, securing valuables, and providing clear access to the rooms or items being treated. Unless we have agreed to do so, we do not move heavy furniture, disconnected electrical equipment, breakable objects, or items that require specialist handling. You are responsible for protecting or removing items that may be affected by moisture, heat, or cleaning chemicals.

It is also your responsibility to identify any items that should not be cleaned in the usual way. Certain fabrics, dyes, antique materials, natural fibres, and delicate floor coverings may react unpredictably to cleaning methods. While we use reasonable skill and care, some materials may carry a risk of colour transfer, shrinkage, watermarking, pile distortion, or residual odour. By booking the service, you acknowledge that cleaning outcomes can vary depending on the condition and nature of the item.

Waste handling and legal compliance for carpet cleaning services5. Liability and limitations
We will perform our services with reasonable care and skill. If we are found liable for loss or damage caused by our negligence, our responsibility will be limited to the amount paid or payable for the specific service giving rise to the claim, except where the law does not allow such limitation. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

We will not be responsible for pre-existing damage, wear and tear, latent defects, hidden stains, colour fastness issues, structural weakness, poor maintenance, or deterioration that occurs despite reasonable cleaning methods. Nor will we be liable for any loss resulting from inaccurate information supplied by you, failure to follow aftercare instructions, or the use of products, equipment, or treatments on your own initiative after our visit. Worcester Park Carpet Cleaners does not guarantee that every stain can be removed completely.

Where appropriate, we may recommend a test patch before proceeding with full treatment. If you decline a test patch or ask us to continue despite a visible risk, you accept that the likelihood of change, marking, or incomplete stain removal may be increased. We are not liable for minor colour variation, cleaning lines, residual shading, or differences in appearance between treated and untreated areas, provided the work has been carried out competently.

We do not accept liability for loss of income, business interruption, missed events, wasted bookings, or other indirect or consequential losses unless required by law. If a claim is made, you must notify us promptly and give us a reasonable opportunity to inspect the affected area, investigate the issue, and, where appropriate, attempt a remedy. Failure to allow inspection may affect any claim outcome. Any remedy may include re-cleaning, partial refund, or another reasonable solution at our discretion, subject to legal obligations.

6. Waste regulations, disposal, and environmental handling
We will handle waste and removed debris in line with applicable UK environmental and waste management rules. This includes the proper handling of packaging, disposable materials, residue, and any waste created during the course of our work. Where cleaning generates wastewater, sludge, or contaminated material, we will dispose of it responsibly and in a manner consistent with relevant legal requirements and best practice. We do not knowingly dispose of regulated waste in a way that would breach environmental obligations.

Unless specifically agreed otherwise, the customer remains responsible for the disposal of any household waste, personal belongings, or items removed from the premises that are not part of our cleaning process. If we are asked to remove items or waste beyond the ordinary scope of cleaning, this may be treated as an additional service and priced separately. You must inform us in advance if any waste is hazardous, contaminated, biologically risky, or subject to special disposal controls.

We may decline to handle material that we reasonably believe to be unsafe, illegal, or unsuitable for our normal service. This includes, without limitation, materials contaminated by chemicals, bodily fluids, vermin, mould beyond ordinary domestic cleaning, sharps, asbestos-related materials, or other substances requiring specialist licensing or equipment. If such waste is discovered during the service, we may stop work immediately and seek your instructions, while charging for the time already spent on site where lawful.

7. Access, safety, and service conditions
You must ensure a safe working environment for our operatives. This includes adequate lighting, reasonable access, and a workplace free from known hazards. If pets, children, or other occupants may interfere with the service, you should take steps to keep them safely away from the work area. We may refuse to proceed if we believe conditions are unsafe or if there is a risk to people, property, or equipment.

Any parking permits, building access codes, concierge permissions, or other authorisations required for attendance should be arranged by you in advance unless we agree otherwise. Delays caused by lack of access, parking restrictions, or missing permissions may result in extra charges. You must also tell us about alarms, security systems, or any building rules that could affect our ability to complete the work.

8. Complaints and remedies
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, you should notify us as soon as reasonably possible and no later than a reasonable time after completion. Please keep the affected area in its post-service condition where possible, as re-cleaning or inspection may be required. We may ask for photographs or other evidence to help assess the issue. Complaints will be considered fairly and in good faith.

Where a complaint is justified, we may offer a follow-up visit, a partial refund, or another appropriate remedy. The specific remedy will depend on the circumstances, the nature of the issue, and the extent to which the matter is capable of being corrected. Any remedy given does not amount to an admission of liability beyond what is required by law. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms and any dispute or claim arising from them, whether contractual or non-contractual, shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these terms or the services supplied by Worcester Park Carpet Cleaners, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply.

10. General provisions
If any part of these terms is found to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force. A failure or delay by us in enforcing any right shall not waive that right. We may update these terms from time to time, and the version in force at the time of booking will apply to your service unless otherwise stated in writing. These terms constitute the entire agreement between the parties regarding the service, unless supplemented by a written quotation or written special condition. By proceeding with a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
